AB58 Effective May 9, 2005, for the purpose of adopting regulations and on January 1, 2006, for all other purposes.
Enacts various provisions relating to industrial insurance. (BDR 53-250)
AB91 Sections 15 and 17 of this act effective May 9, 2005. Sections 2, 3, 7, 9 and 13 of this act effective: (a) May 9, 2005, for purpose of adopting regulations and administering examinations; and (b) On January 1, 2006, for all other purposes. Sections 1, 1.3, 1.7, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13.5, 14 and 16 of this act effective October 1, 2005. Sections 5, 7 and 9 of this act expire by limitation on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) Have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) Are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States. Sections 6, 8 and 10 of this act effective on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) Have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) Are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States.
Makes various changes relating to court reporters and court reporting firms. (BDR 1-472)

AB436 Sections 1 to 20, inclusive, 22, 23, 24, 27 and 28 of this act effective: (a) May 18, 2005, for the purposes of adopting regulations and taking such other actions as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act; and (b) On October 1, 2005, for all other purposes. Section 21 of this act effective on January 1, 2006. Section 25 of this act effective on the date a court of competent jurisdiction enters a judgment determining that the amendatory provisions of section 24 of this act are unconstitutional. Section 26 of this act effective on the date a court of competent jurisdiction enters a judgment determining that the amendatory provisions of section 25 of this act are unconstitutional.

AB554 Section 37 effective June 17, 2005. Section 22 of this act: (a) Effective June 17, 2005, for the purpose of adopting regulations and July 1, 2005, for all other purposes; and (b) Expires by limitation on December 21, 2005. Sections 1 to 12, inclusive, 15, 16, 20 and subsection 1 of section 36 of this act effective July 1, 2005. Sections 25 to 35, inclusive, and subsection 3 of section 36 of this act effective October 1, 2005. Sections 13 and 23 of this act effective on January 1, 2006. Sections 14, 17, 21 and 24 of this act effective January 1, 2007, only if the proposal submitted pursuant to sections 28 to 35, inclusive, of this act is approved by the voters at the General Election on November 7, 2006. Sections 18, 19 and subsection 2 of section 36 of this act effective January 1, 2007, only if the proposal submitted pursuant to sections 28 to 35, inclusive, of this act is not approved by the voters at the General Election on November 7, 2006.

Requires policies of health insurance to provide coverage for certain treatments for cancer. (BDR 57-265)
SB170 Sections 1 to 13, inclusive, 15, 17, 18, 19 and 20 effective October 1, 2005. Sections 13 and 15 expire by limitation December 31, 2005. Sections 14 and 16 effective January 1, 2006.
Authorizes certain smaller counties to impose additional local sales and use tax under certain circumstances. (BDR 32-853)
SB304 Section 4 effective June 8, 2005. Sections 1 and 2 effective June 8, 2005 for the purposes of adopting regulations and on January 1, 2006, for all other purposes. Section 3 effective July 1, 2005.
Authorizes Attorney General to issue identity theft passports to victims of identity theft. (BDR 15-940)
