For I believe the provisions of this bill are long overdo; having to obtain a different CCW permit for each weapon has always baffeled me anyway. If an individual goes through the training and satifies the requirments, he/she should be able to use the one-time training for each weapon theychoose to carry. The training is based on how to safely and responsibly handle a firearm of any kind,so it should be an all inclusivesingle permit. Jun-03-2011

For This bill should be heard and passed in the Senate as it was in the Assembly. The practice of putting down the serial number, make and caliber of the semi-automatic firearm is time consuming and a waste of time. If the holder of the permit has taken the CCW class and passed the range qualifications with the revolver and the semi-automatic firearm that is whats necssary. Why have a yes checked for the revolver and require all the weapon information for a semi-automatic weapon. It seems that it is not fair and the requirements are more for a CCW when carrying a semi-automatic firearm. Please make this fair and equal for semi-automatic CCW holders. Apr-22-2011

For most semi automatics are essentially the same where there is a big difference between a derringer and a 357 magnum yet semi automatics have to be listed on CCW's individually. It makes no sense. Apr-04-2011
Against semi-automatic weapons should be registered and persons with registration should be trained and that should be public information. It is a sahme to waste time on changing a law to benefit those who want to skirt the training requirement (i..e. Jim Gibbons and the like). We have more important issues in Nevada for our legislators to consider. CUrrent law is appropriate. Apr-03-2011

For I am for this bill because.1)It will save money for the county shareffs.2)By cutting cost on paper and time for agents to keep track on the guns that are currently on CCW'S as to Make,Modle,Type.3)Increase sales of fire arms that will increase the sales tax because the CCW Holder will only have to have either a revolver and on SemiAuto on the CCW card.Thank you. For This bill and SB126 should be combined. The simplification of permit maintenance be eliminating the requirement for qualification with each model/caliber makes sense. The protection of permit-holder's privacy by explicitly stating that the permit-holder's information is private is also important to reduce the likelihood of abuse by interested parties. Mar-12-2011

For This bill removes the requirement that CCW holders qualify for their permit with each and every individual semi-automatic firearm that they own, but rather will allow a CCW holder to obtain a permit to carry any semi-automatic firearm, just as they can apply to carry any revolver under the current law. The bill also seeks to protect the privacy of CCW holder’s identity in response to an unfavorable Nevada Supreme Court decision. Mar-03-2011

The 2nd amendment is our CCW permit. We should all have the right of self protection at anytime and in any manner or location as a law abiding Citizen. Gun laws only take away law abiding Citizens rights, not criminals!!! Do you really think that criminals care if you have to have a CCW permit? I wish it just had qualify with one firearm and conceal any firearm though so that firearms that are neither revolvers nor automatics could be concealed, such as lever-actions, single shots, bolt actions, quadruple derringers etc. While concealed carry is mainly to conceal pistols for defense, it would be nice to be able to put a rifle in a case to protect it during transport also.
