Against the crooks should have thought more about the consequences of their actions before they did them. May-19-2011
Against We have enough criminals in government already. This bill was brought by a Democrat. Why? Because the felons are going to vote for Democrats. Democrats want illegal aliens to vote, felons, they'll take anyone they can get. Oppose AB301! May-12-2011

For Once someone has fulfilled a sentence, their civil rights should be restored in their entirety. Government has gotten out of hand with its retribution mentality. These are American citizens and people make mistakes. This is the truest example of the over extension of government. Your not keeping us safer, your just extending power where it should not be. Against At time the service person ballot is late and not counted, why would they count people in prision, who should not have a say, nothing outside the walls make a difference. Mar-24-2011
Against Under certain conditions the gov. may restore these rights. That is where it needs to stay. Who is pushing this bill and what are the motives? This is highly suspect and I would like to know why anyone in their right mind would consider this and it would appear that someone has in mind the forming of a voting block for special interests. Shame on you. Mar-23-2011
Against So now we are pushing to allow known criminals to become politicians? I think there is enough criminal activity related to government already without allowing known felons the ability to participate. Mar-23-2011
Against Felons will vote for Democrats. Democrats know this, so favor AB301. As for serving on a jury, I certainly would not wish a convicted FELON sitting on the jury on a case I brought! And lastly, we have enough criminals holding elected office. Why would we need more? At the moment, Claire McCaskill and Timothy Geithner come to mind. Mar-23-2011

Against I am all for being forgiving of people that have served their time but this could be a disaster. Could you imagine an ex-con being on a jury for someone that they previously met during their incarceration. This opens things up for all kinds of corrupt behavior. Against please vote AGAINST passage of this bill. Felons should NOT have thier civil rights restored. They have, by thier own actions, lost the right to govern or judge the law abiding citizens of the state of Nevada. Mar-22-2011
Against I strongly appose this bill that loosens elections laws and dilutes the voting rights of law abiding citizens. Mar-22-2011
Against This bill lowers the bar of proof and performance for an ex-fellon to vote, thus dilutes my voting rights as a lawful citizen; increases local govt. costs at a time we can not affort it. I appose, strongly. Mar-22-2011

Against Proof of status must be provided when rights are restored. Look what happens when a presidential candidate doesn't have to show his birth certificate before getting his name on the ballot. Mar-21-2011
Against For this to be legitamate, there has to be a distinction made between the types of felony convictions that can be petitioned. Can't see a former gang member siting in the jury of of another member 20yrs later. Nor can I see a felony dui trial with former dui or substance abuse felons on a jury. Mar-21-2011
Against No Comment Mar-21-2011
Against Those convicted of a felony have done something really bad, to put it plainly. They have chosen to go against the laws of civility and therefore should not be permitted to participate in elections as they may have ulterior motives. Mar-21-2011
Against If we do not continue to provide consequences to actions, only criminals will have rights. While incarcerated, inmates are bombarded with all types of anti-American propaganda. Allowing them to vote propogates this throughout society. Mar-21-2011
Against Isn't this like having the fox guard the hen house? Convicted felons will be voting in politicians and passing judgment in jury court cases. This is a lose-lose proposition either way! Mar-21-2011
Against Do we really need felons on jurys? And go you really need Felons to vote so you can get elected? This goes right along with the illegals, voting. You people have started to fall next to whale $&%!. Mar-21-2011

I also believe in forgiveness as we are taught by the Bible. I forgive and accept that they should have the right to vote restored upon serving their sentence. I believe that they should be given an official document that they should have to present to the voters registration to open their voting and clean the Mar-21-2011

Our criminal systems are so lenient and slow it's hard to even process someone to the phase where they are a convicted felon.
