| Against | Taxpayers are paying for public schools in their neighborhoods which effect their property values. Property taxes are supporting public schools. I as a taxpayer do not want my dollars to go to a voucher for someone who wants their child to attend a private school. Private school is a personal matter. If a person decides to not send their children to public school, but a private school, that is their choice. Do not take away dollars from the public who cannot afford private school and desperately need the to fund public school. Governor Sandoval needs to abstain on this issue since his oldest child is attending Manogue High School which compromises his independence. I would be very disappointed Governor Sandoval does not refrain from this Joint Resolution Bill since it would personally benefit his family. | Apr-16-2011 |

| For | With the continual decline in the quality of education children receive from the public school system, school choice for parents is more important now than ever. | Apr-13-2011 |
| For | After steadily increasing the education budget year after year without increasing student performance, it's time for change. Besides, parents who send their children to private school are taxpayers too. They should not have to pay double for wanting the best education possible for their children. It's time for the government to stop making personal decisions for us! | Apr-13-2011 |

| Against | Similar bills enacted in other states ultimately cost those states millions of dollars in lost lawsuits, i.e. Florida. Tax payers do not and should not be paying for religion. This bill would funnel money from public schools into religious school subsidies. | Apr-13-2011 |

| For | I wholeheartedly support this bill . I am retired military and my education benefits had no strings attached as I could pick any university and any course of study I wanted. Public schools are a nightmare today and this is a solution to our bloated, wastefull and dangerous government schools, as well as the ridiculous educational philosophies they force on society. | For | Please vote YES on this bill! Our education system is so broken and people keep trying to fix it by throwing money at it, which does nothing to help. What we need to fix it is some real competition. One of the reasons why online schools and charter schools and even homeschooling have taken off so much is because parents have the ability to choose options that are best for their children. Parents know their children best, and education is not a one size fits all thing. By passing this bill, you would do so much to truly help children and education. | Apr-12-2011 |

| For | I support parents right to educate their children through school choice and vouchers. I urge you to vote YES! | Apr-12-2011 |
| Against | Do NOT use my tax dollars to send anyone to private school. Public funding is for public schools, NOT to enrich the private sector. In addition, only those who can add to the vouchers (the rich) will be able to use them for the full school tuition. Vote NO! | Apr-12-2011 |

| For | Money is not the problem, the "educators" are the problem. Allow vouchers so those who want to succeed can and those who don't can remain in the public school system. Vouchers - YES! | Apr-12-2011 |
| For | This amendment to the Nevada Constitution will put parents in control of where their children should attend school. | Apr-12-2011 |
| For | Apr-11-2011 | |
| For | SJR10 This bill is based on the same principle of the very successful GI bill which allowed returning service men to choose an educational institution of their choice to obtain the education of their choice. Nevada’s Constitution currently prohibits any government funds from being used for sectarian (religious) purposes which includes faith based schools. | Apr-11-2011 |
| For | Apr-11-2011 | |
| For | We need to improve our schools and competition will help with that goal. | Apr-11-2011 |
| For | I believe the data shows that providing a "choice" of schools to parents and children improves the education experience overall. Public schools are forced to improve or close, because everyone chooses other schools to attend. I am strongly in favor of the use of vouchers in the NV education system. | Apr-11-2011 |

| For | I'm tired of not having a choice of where I send my kids and settling for the lowest rated schools in the nation. VOUCHERS NOW!!!! | Apr-11-2011 |
| For | PLEASE VOTE YES ON SJR10 TO GIVE EDUCATING THEIR CHILDREN BACK TO THE PARENTS. THIS ALSO WOULD ALLOW EDUCATION TO GROW INSTEAD OF REMAINING STAGNANT. OUR CHILDREN MAY ACTUALLY GET EDUCATED BECAUSE OF COMPETITION. THAT IS WHAT WE WANT AND I HOPE YOU AGREE THAT EDUCATION AS IT IS NOW NEEDS TO CHANGE. EDUCATION MEANS EXACTLY THAT, NOT SOCIALIZING OUR CHILDREN WITH DOCTRINE INSTEAD OF READING, WRITING & ARITHMETIC. THANK YOU. | Apr-11-2011 |
| For | Allowing citizens to choose which school to support with their allocation of the public tax funds will promote improvement in schools generally as the motivating effects of competition become manifest. | Apr-11-2011 |

| For | Public schools have been so dumbed down that most private schools provide the advantage of having the conditions under which effective teaching can occur. If you were to bet on a randomly selected public school student and one from a private school, you would be disadvantaged to count on superior performance from the public school student. The Teachers union will fight this Bill, but its not about saving their jobs - Its about preparing our children to compete. | Apr-11-2011 |

| Against | NO. My tax dollars should not be going to the those that choose to put their children in private schools at the expense of the public schools. There should be a limit on the income of the wealthiest who can afford the fees as opposed to the poorest who will never be able to qualify for a private school. The private schools get to pick and choose. It puts them at an unfair advantage. | Mar-26-2011 |
