| Against | There are sufficient protections for agencies in conducting confidential business while still operating in full view of the public on matters they have every right to be aware of. Any attempt to remove transparency from government, no matter how well-intentioned, will always be perceived as a negative by the public. Especially in today's day and age, it is critical that members of the public have access to FIRST-HAND information, versus edited minutes, with which to make their own decisions. | Feb-21-2013 |

| Against | NO - Takes the protection out of the law. The public must be assured access to all public information, and all meetings must be open to the public. This bill weakens the open meeting law and does not serve the public | Feb-10-2013 |
| Against | This bill needs a LOT of work. Delete the exceptions in Section 2 (a), (b), (c), (d). Meetings should be open to the public PRECISELY when the "public body" is collecting "facts." Section 4 takes a clear-cut remedy and makes it discretionary; totally defangs the spirit and letter of the law. | Feb-08-2013 |
| Against | The peoples business needs to be done in front of the people, not behind closed doors. The parole board members aren't elected, they are appointed. How can the public get rid of them if they don't do their job? They can't vote for "the other guy". This is a bad idea and should not pass. The citizens of NV want more transparency, not more doors closed in their faces as they try to do their civic duty and be involved in the process. | Feb-05-2013 |

| Against | The Board of Parole Commisioners should not be allowed to have any meetings in private. Transparency in goverment, especially those who have control over other peoples lives is such a direct manner is important to good society. | Jan-17-2013 |
