| For | Fighting animals is a blood sport, pure & simple. Animals should not be forced to fight for human entertainment. | Mar-27-2013 |

| For | Stacks of data show that the bear hunt is not needed. What do you value more: a few hunters getting trophy paws, or the religion and culture of thousands of Native Americans in Nevada. | Mar-07-2013 |

| For | The United States wants to believe it is a civilized country. How humans treat animals, who are largely dependent upon humans for care and survival, is one measure of whether a civilization has positively evolved instead of negatively regressed. Lesser-developed countries in other parts of the world often don't have the material prosperity to be concerned with anything but the most basic needs of personal safety, food, water, and shelter; their collective policies and residents' thinking haven't evolved into a conscious concern for various life forms and anything beyond their own lives and day-to-day survival. People in these countries often view animal fighting as acceptable sport, no matter the collateral damage or animal suffering and injury it causes. Life has little worth and is expendable for he most minimal of reasons. Fortunately, we have many other methods for entertaining ourselves in this country. Our public policy needs to discourage animal fighting, whether as a sponsor or spectator, and increase penalties as a further deterrent to this pointless, uncivilized activity. The provisions of this bill are constructive and support prudent public policy. Please vote yes. | Mar-06-2013 |
| For | I was able to watch the testimony from the HSUS/former investigator regarding animal fighting, the cruelty involved and the criminal element attached to the practice. One aspect that was not really covered in the testimony but is covered by the bill is the practice of "baiting" where small, meek, weak or young animals are used to train the fighting animals and give them "a taste of blood" resulting in certain and painful death to the bait animal. Please pass this bill to help put a stop to both the cruelty aspect and the criminal aspect of animal fighting. | Mar-06-2013 |
| For | "cruelty to animals" - - doesnt this answer itself? It sickens me that in this day and age there is still people, including people with the power to make changes for what's right, morally, who would stop something like this - - let alone even still have to vote and study reasons why we shouldn't allow cruelty to animals? Please. Make the changes. Nevada can lead by example. | Mar-06-2013 |
| For | These "sports" are cruelty to animals and should be disallowed!!!!! | Mar-04-2013 |

| For | An excellent step toward stopping cruel animal fighting. | Feb-28-2013 |
| For | Increasing the penalties for animal creulty would be meaningless if SB73 becomes law. No one wouild dare to report bird or dog fighting for fear of retaliation. Don't pass SB73 and this a good bill. | Feb-28-2013 |

| For | I am for any legislation which creates barriers for individuals who wish to participate in or witness animal-related criminal cruelty and enacts SIGNIFICANT punishment for offenders who arrange such activities. Such activities have no merit at all and in today's day and age there is no reason for such activities to exist. We do not live in ignorance regarding the fact that animals CAN suffer and DO suffer tremendously when mistreated in such a manner. The people whose diseased minds still think this is O.K. must be shown the error of their thinking by the imposition of stiff criminal penalties for their choice to cause pain and suffering needlessly to other creatures. | Feb-06-2013 |
