Against Should be given an allowance in their salary for uniform expenses. Period Mar-26-2013
Against Everyone who works for a living has to buy their clothes -I think the police are paid enough to purchase -clean and repair their own uniforms -one hour of overtime should do it. I can't believe with the problems facing us today that this is even wasting time. Mar-25-2013
Against Vote NO. It simply is not necessary. Our peace officers are well compensated. And we simply cannot now afford further expenditures. Mar-25-2013

Against I appreciate the job police officers do, but they also have nice well paid union jobs, health benefits, the best retirement in the country. If you retire at 55 you're gonna get paid to not work for almost half your life given current life expectancy. Marine Officers get a one-time payment of $400, deal with it police, you're not underpaid by a long shot...total waste of money. Mar-20-2013

For This is a good idea. Every one I know that has a CCW, knows many types of guns. Being tested on both revolvers and semi-autos just waists ammo. Feb-21-2013

For The current law is redicilous. Feb-21-2013

For I support the intent of this bill, but suggest the following revisions to make the bill clear and unambiguous. Page 2, lines 36 through 38 (describing handguns that permit holders are able to conceal) should be simplified by replacing "…which is owned or thereafter obtained by the person…" with "…which is lawfully possessed by the person…". Ownership of the firearm or time periods when the firearm was obtained are irrelevant; lawful possession should be the only requirement. As written, if a relative who owns a specific firearm allows me to possess their handgun before I obtain a permit, and after obtaining my permit I conceal the loaned handgun, it could be successfully argued that I have violated this law. Against Feb-09-2013
Against I cannot in good conscience approve of this bill. We cannot keep spending additional money in theses difficult economic times. I am a normal employee and I am required to purchase my own attire for my position that meets standards, very similar to a peace officer. If costs are rising than perhaps we must look at other suppliers for our peace officer’s uniforms not to tax payers for a free ride. Feb-09-2013
Against Vote NO. It simply is not necessary. Our peace officers are well compensated. And we simply cannot now afford further expenditures. Feb-09-2013
Against How will the Director decide what is too much wear and tear? What is the projected cost of this change? What is the normal practice in other jurisdictions. When I was in the USAR I had to buy, clean and replace my uniforms myself. Feb-08-2013

For Anything to support those who take care of us...uniforms and gear are EXPENSIVE! Feb-06-2013
