| Against | Property tax should be eliminated (not increased) for owner-occupied homes. If you need to make up the lost revenue, increase the taxes on gasoline, cars and other products that have harmful effects on our communities. | May-22-2013 |
| Against | Agreed - Just another gimmick for the government to quietly attempt to raise property taxes and circumvent the statewide tax cap. No new taxes! | May-22-2013 |

| Against | What do you expect retired people to do on fixed incomes. In our cases there is no more income to pay higher property taxes and, regardless of the lies coming from Washington, there is substantial inflation in the cost of our absolute necessities. Government simply must be more efficient with the money it is squandering now. | Apr-11-2013 |
| Against | My home has already depreciated by about 70% since 2004. All on its own--with the help of the Community Reinvestment Act--but I digress. I owe far more than its value, I have had my pay cut, been furloughed, and will have my pay cut again in July of this year. I cannot afford more taxes of any kind. Government at the local, state, and federal level should reduce spending for a change! | Apr-11-2013 |

| Against | Your bills on gun control are very much in contention with Second Amendment. This is purely unconstitional. The mental health should be taken care of and informed that they should have their names shown that they are not eligable to purchase any fire arms. Our schools should have armed teachers and administration personel as well. | Mar-15-2013 |

| Against | Create jobs, then let people get caught up and then forget more taxes as we have to many now...Nobody can afford more taxes!!! The price of fuel, electric and food is killing everyone...STOP... | Feb-26-2013 |

| Against | Vote No on AB26. Please do not increase our taxes by reducing depreciation on improvements on our property. We’ve all had to tighten our belts…the city and county governments must also tighten their belts including Education. We can’t afford more taxes! | Feb-26-2013 |

| Against | Just one more way to try and squeeze blood out of an already over-taxed population. Nevada taxers and spenders need to learn to live within their means. If you want more money, cut government waste. | Feb-26-2013 |
| Against | Basically, this is a property tax increase. | Feb-24-2013 |
| Against | Again -the economy is not good for the voters -we are tightening our belts -please do so as well. If someone repairs, or improves their property -they pay for permits etc. -they should get the same depreciation that the current requirements for taxes are. Government needs to tighten their collective belts -do with less employees -have only one "hot" meal at day at prisons, re-use school books (like we did before), have less fancy offices and flat screen TV's -there are ways that will add up -Do that -print it in the paper and people will appreciate it. | Feb-20-2013 |
| Against | This is yet another sneaky way to increse taxes on behalf of those who have taxation in their DNA. | Feb-19-2013 |
| Against | The government has just about forced me out of my home (which I built myself) with excessive taxes. Hasn't anyone heard we're on the verge of a depression? More taxes will only accelerate a collapse and tax rebellion. | Feb-19-2013 |
| Against | No More Tax Increases! And this is just a tax increase on homeowners. The value of my home is 50% of what it was, but my taxes are the same! Why??? | Feb-18-2013 |

| Against | It looks like in Nevada legislation is crafted according to the financial needs of local government, not realities in the real estate market. There is no fixed rules in increasing to valuation during boom times, and budgets, hiring are done on revenue projections that are at best pie in the sky, at worst criminal in their effects on the private sector of the state and cities. But when the economy collapses, brought about by government actions that penalized banks for refusing to extend credit to those who could not be expected to pay their loans back, then those who were acting responsibly in their financial dealings are penalized by the same government who caused the crash for the simple reason they did not want to do the hard work of reducing spending like their citizens and residents in the private sector are forced to do. It may be difficult to predict housing price depreciation, but it is NOT a constant 1% per year. Vote NO on AB26, retain the tax payers this small break in the ever increasing taxation for a dwindling benefit from government. | Feb-09-2013 |
