| For | Anything to further address much needed mental health issues in this state. | Apr-26-2013 |
| Against | You would have to prove to me why spending the money on this serves any real purpose | Apr-10-2013 |

| For | Please consider Peter Breggin, a leading crusader against the abusive prescription of psychiatric drugs who has been called “the conscience of psychiatry,” presents a pioneering, person-centered approach to psychiatric drug withdrawal in his new book. Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal: A Guide for Prescribers, Therapists, Patients and their Families, published by Springer Publishing Company, is also the first book to establish guidelines and assist the prescriber and therapist in withdrawing their patients from psychiatric drugs. With increasing evidence that long-term use of psychiatric drugs damages the brain and complicates withdrawal, and with the number of people on psychiatric medication higher than ever, this work comes out at a critical time. The book also anticipates controversial DSM-5 proposals which some say would medicalize normality. Research shows long-term exposure to psychiatric drugs has proven to be far more dangerous than originally anticipated, and includes the threat of medication-induced obesity, diabetes, heart disease, irreversible abnormal movements, emotional and cognitive disability, and an overall deterioration in the patient’s clinical condition and quality of life. These dangers, among others, have compelled Dr. Breggin to argue that “Nothing in the field of mental health will do more good and reduce more harm than encouraging withdrawal from psychiatric drugs.” Please consider that psych medications may also be a factor in suicide risk. | Apr-05-2013 |

| Against | A Committee to review Suicide Fatalities. Really! Why do we need this committee. Evey Police dept. in this state already has this information. They gather it in the course of their investigation of the death. A complete waste of time and money. | Mar-21-2013 |
| For | Please support this bill to help us understand suicides better so we can better prevent them. | Mar-21-2013 |
| Against | Mar-20-2013 | |
| For | Mar-19-2013 | |
| Against | This bill badly needs a cost-benefit analysis to justify its proposals to create yet another public body with sweeping powers. Do we have an epidemic of suicides, shown by sound actuarial data? Do we not already know rather well the causes of suicides? Are death certificates issued fraudulently to conceal or under-count suicides? | Mar-19-2013 |

| Against | Why? | Mar-15-2013 |

| Against | A waste of taxpayers money. A committee will not cure the problem. Why 10 members; should be an odd number. Why Native American member? No educators or clery are included. Way too much power given to committee. Another Government agency that NV does not need and that will intrude into peoples lives. | Feb-11-2013 |
| Against | Not sure we need a legislative committee at taxpayer expense for this. | Feb-10-2013 |

| For | We have to do start somewhere. Sometimes it just feels like we're re-starting once again. We cannot give up. | Feb-05-2013 |
