Against	As an Advocate for the Inmates and the Innocent I ask that you DO NOT PASS SB 26 AS WRITTEN. The Advisory Commission has called for an Audit on the Department of Corrections because of a COMPUTER GLITCH THAT PUT FALSE FELONY CHARGES IN INMATES FILE when NDOC converted over to a new software program in 2007. This is a continuing ONGOING PROBLEM with the COMPUTER GLITCH. The Parole Board needs to continue to notify victims by mail so that there will not be another computer glitch victimizing the victims again by a possible computer glitch. 20 6. The failure of the System to notify a victim of a crime of a 21 change in the custody status of an offender does not establish a 22 basis for any cause of action by the victim or any other party 23 against the State, its political subdivisions, or the agencies, boards, 24 commissions, departments, officers or employees of the State or its 25 political subdivisions. 26 7.
