For Please support this Bill. This Bill can only enhance Nevada's image as a small business friendly state. Selling more products that are made in Nevada will help increase our name recognition and market share. When people around the country, or world, who have bought and enjoyed a beer made by one of our small craft breweries start thinking about where to take their next vacation, what better time for them to remember Nevada? More beer sales means more taxes paid to our state. More beer sale means more production and more people to make it meaning more jobs. I can think of no reason not to pass this Bill. I urge you to please support SB139. Apr-16-2015

For This is good businesses, good for the community, good for encouraging the diversification of the economy and adds an additional level of draw for our tourism economy. It can also actually benefit those large corporations who oppose the growth of their own industry. Let's celebrate entrepreneurs, reward their success and continue supporting the powerful pioneer spirit that built Nevada and continues to make it a great place to live and own a business. For Removing brewpub production limits does not negatively impact distributor sales. What it actually does, is allows breweries to continue growing, thus increasing distributor sales. Additionally, even though few breweries are at that production limit, there are breweries who choose not to open as a brewpub simply because they do not want production limits. Passing this bill allows breweries who do not have tasting rooms the ability to open tasting rooms, thus expanding their brand and increase production, resulting in more paid excise taxes. For Brewpub owners' want to continue to grow Nevada into a beer destination that competes with surrounding states. With unlimited production and growth, the brewpubs would pay more liquor excise taxes to the state when they sell and export beer in addition to growing their businesses and being allowed to create and meet higher demand for craft beer. For Let Nevada become a major player in the booming Craft Beer business. Look at SD, good beer will bring people and create jobs. Apr-09-2015
For I urge legislators to remove barriers to Nevada breweries growing larger. Larger Nevada breweries pay more taxes, employ more people, and push a positive image of our state. In my understanding, alcohol distributors have their panties in a twist, fearing an eventual push for self-distribution or that some massive corporate entity (read: AB-InBev) will come into state and set up their own distribution network. I am unaware of this happening. Anywhere. While some breweries would probably like to ability to self-distribute to some degree, most, upon approaching more regional-sales levels of production, would focus on production itself and still need/want the services of distributors to get beer out to the public. Increased production = increased business for both brewery and distributor. The fact that a brewery might have it's own bar attached is great for that business and no threat to distributors. Self-sales are important but not the bulk of a brewery's income. Seems to me that restrictions on production only hurt Nevada. How could a Nevada brewery ever achieve (or even want to try) national status (read: New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, heck-even Victory, a brewery in New Jersey that sells beer in Nevada!) if it can't make enough beer to do so. All these nationally distributed craft breweries have their own restaurants. Let Nevada brewing expand regardless of whether or not the brewery has it's own on premise sales. Apr-09-2015

For A cap on production is a cap on growth. Apr-09-2015
For This supports local jobs in many different industries from brewing to sales to distribution. Apr-09-2015
For Removing the annual limitation is in the best interest of all Nevadans because it would allow current brew pubs to expand production to meet the current demands of their customers while bringing in additional excise taxes. Removing the limitation would also make our State more competitive with other States for entrepreneurs and existing brew pub owners who are considering expanding into our State's market. Craft beer is an ever increasing market, and removing the limitation would promote, and level the playing field, between Nevada business owners and large international conglomerates; and allows for beer to be brewed, sold, and consumed locally in Nevada. For As a homebrewer, BJCP Recognized Beer Judge and fan of the craft beer movement in Northern Nevada. I support this bill and the removal of limits placed on craft brewers in the state of Nevada. Beer makes good economic sense over the past decade with the relaxing of laws in Washington, Oregon, Colorado and California. Craft beer has seen double digit growth year over year and it doesn't seem to be stopping. Through the worst recession in recent history craft beer has grown almost exponentially and continuing to grow. Breweries provide good high paying service and labor jobs to the economy and sales tax revenue also has increased in some of the previously mentioned states as a side effect of more people eating and drinking out. Just as importantly I believe that craft beer is a positive influence on the culture of an area. Brewers are encouraged by their patrons to source materials locally and put a Nevada spin on their product. As a resident of a rapidly expanding beer market. The craft breweries in Reno give me something from my town to be proud of and share with friends and relatives from out of town. I also support an amendment to this bill to open up self distribution for a limited amount of product. Similar to the model that Oregon, California, Washington and Colorado have adopted. This greatly lowers the cost entrance into beer production and allows for more and rapid growth. It could help spur tourist attraction to the area as another west coast beer destination instead of a relative black hole compared to surrounding states. Apr-08-2015
For I'm all for the state of Nevada, brewpubs and distributors getting more tax money. Seems like a win win win for everyone. Not like bud will be moving there brewery to Nevada Oh wait if they do that will mean more jobs, taxes and they will still have to through a distributor. Apr-08-2015

For Nevada's brewpubs are a great ambassador for the state, and their owners are fine citizens, employing hundreds of Nevadans. Please remove this unnecessary restriction on their production, and put us at an equal footing to our neighboring states. Thank you! Apr-08-2015

For The current 15,000 barrel production limit on the amount of beer that a brew pub can produce is a disincentive for the establishment and expansion of craft brewing in Nevada. The economic benefits of the craft brewing industry can be seen in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. Brew pubs have played a big part in the downtown revitalization of both citys. Nevada production and distribution laws protect large breweries and distributors like Coors and Budweiser at the expense of Nevada craft brewers. Nevada craft brewers provide jobs, produce an exportable product, and generate excise tax revenue. Apr-08-2015
