Production and Use of Energy (S.C.R. 19)
Energy, in terms of electric power production, heating, and transportation, is fundamental to every aspect of Nevada's economy and profoundly affects the environment as well as public health. More efficient utilization of energy frees public and private funds for use in other areas such as health and safety, education, business investment, and infrastructure. In view of energy's impact on all aspects of citizen well-being, the Legislative Commission appointed this Committee to study energy production and use in the State.
