The State of Nevada Register of Administrative Regulations is published each month by the Legal Division of the Legislative Counsel Bureau, pursuant to NRS 233B.0653, and is available for access on the Internet pursuant to NRS 233B.0656.
The Register contains the agency’s request, the proposed and adopted text of the regulations and any revised versions, the notice of intent to act upon the regulation set forth in NRS 233B.0603, the written notice of adoption of the regulation required by NRS 233B.064, the informational statement required by NRS 233B.066 and the effective date of the regulation as determined pursuant to NRS 233B.070.
A state agency is required to provide at least 30 days’ notice of its intent to adopt, amend or repeal any permanent regulation pursuant to NRS 233B.060. The notice of intent to act upon a regulation along with the text of the proposed regulation as submitted by the agency is available at the state library or upon written request to the adopting agency from any interested person as required by NRS 233B.0603. It is also included, if available at the time of publication, in the State of Nevada Register of Administrative Regulations, which is published monthly, and on the Internet at http://www.leg.state.nv.us. Notices of intent to adopt a regulation that are received after the publication of the Register, but before the date of the hearing, are included on the Internet attached to the “I” version (agency draft) as soon as they are received.
RELATIONSHIP TO THE NEVADA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
The Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) is an ongoing publication that is updated approximately six times per year. It is a compilation of all adopted regulations that have been filed with the Secretary of State and codified by the Legal Division of the Legislative Counsel Bureau. The NAC does not contain proposed regulations or any subsequent versions of proposed regulations or the notice of intent, notice of adoption or informational statement. That information is available in the printed version of the Register or on the Internet.

HOW TO USE THE STATE OF NEVADA REGISTER
OF ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS
All proposed regulations received by the Legislative Counsel Bureau are numbered in the order they are received. For example, the first regulation received would be numbered R001-04. Part 1 of each volume includes a preface and an alphabetical listing of the keywords used in the indexes with the complete name of the agency that is authorized to adopt regulations, followed by a numerical index and a keyword index. Each index is cumulative. In both indexes, each listed regulation is followed by the adopting agency, the chapter or chapters amended, a short summary of the regulation followed by the date it was placed on the Internet and the volume and part in which it appears.
Copies of the agency version of the regulations and the notices of intent to act upon a regulation, containing information relating to the location, date and time of the hearings, are included if available.
If a regulation has been adopted, that information will appear in the footer at the bottom of the regulation and be noted on the indexes at the beginning of the Register.
