FAQs

Welcome to the new Personalized Legislative Tracking (PLT) program, formerly known as Personalized Bill Tracking (PBT).

This program will be released in phases over the coming months leading up to the 77th (2013) Legislative Session.

Currently, Prefiled Bills and Bill Draft Requests (BDRs) are available to add to your subscriptions. Tag functionality, allowing you to categorize and sort your subscriptions, is now available in PLT. Please see the Tags section in FAQs for further information.

Before the beginning of the Legislative Session, you will have the ability to track Budgets, in addition to Prefiled Bills and BDRs. Reports will also be available, including export functionality.

How do I search for subscriptions to add to my subscription list?

On the Add Subscriptions page, in the Select Subscription Type dropdown box, choose either BDR or Bill. To search for specific summary text, enter text in Additional Search Text box and click the Search button. Results will be returned below, indicating how many subscriptions were found.

How do I add subscriptions to my subscription list?

FYI: BDRs will not be available to subscribe to if they have already been introduced as a Bill.
On the Add Subscriptions page, check the box next to each subscription that you want to add to your subscription list and then click the Add Checked button. You can select all items by checking the box next to Check/Uncheck All.

How do I search for subscriptions that are in my subscription list?

On the Manage Subscriptions page, All will be chosen by default in the Select Subscription Type dropdown box. As a result, every subscription in your subscription list (regardless of subscription type) will display. To view a specific subscription type, choose the type in the Select Subscription Type dropdown box. All subscriptions of that type will display. To further narrow the subcription list based on specific summary text, enter text in Additional Search Text box and click the Search button.

How do I delete a subscription from my subscription list?

On the Manage Subscriptions page, click the trash can next to the subscription to remove it from your subscription list.

If a tag and/or a note has been added to a subscription, each of these will first need to be removed from the subscription before the subscscripion can be deleted. For these instructions, please reference the Tags and/or Note sections below.

What happens to a BDR I am tracking after it becomes a Bill?

Once a BDR is prefiled or introduced as a Bill, if you are already tracking the BDR, PLT will automatically convert your BDR subscription to the corresponding Bill subscription. You will no longer see the BDR in your subscription list on the Manage Subscriptions page and any Tags and Notes that were attached to the BDR subscription will be attached to the corresponding Bill subscription. If you were subscribed to both a BDR and its corresponding Bill, PLT will remove your BDR subscription, moving any Tags and Notes to the corresponding Bill subscription. PLT will not remove any Tags or Notes from subscriptions, but will only move them from BDR subscriptions to Bill subscriptions.
