THE THIRD DAY
Carson City (Friday), June 27, 2003
Senate called to order at 11:36 a.m.
President Hunt presiding.
Roll called.
All present.
Prayer by the Chaplain, Pastor Albert Tilstra.
Dear God, we ask that You will lead us into all truth, prepare
our hearts and minds for the business of this day, that we may behave with true
courtesy and honor. Compel us to be just and honest in our dealings. Let our
motives be above suspicion. Let our word be our bond. Save us from the fallacy
of depending upon our personality or ingenuity or position to solve our
problems.
Since You have the answers, make us willing to listen to You,
that we may vote on God’s side and that God’s will may be done in us. These
things we ask in Your Name.
Amen.
Pledge of allegiance to the Flag.
