SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION--Proposing to amend the constitution of the 
        State of Nevada to require the establishment of a commission 
        on judicial performance.


  RESOLVED BY THE SENATE AND ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF 
NEVADA, JOINTLY, That a new section be added to 
article 6 of the constitution of the State of Nevada to read 
as follows:
  \Sec. 22.  1.  The Legislature shall establish by law 
a Commission on Judicial Performance to evaluate the 
judicial performance of each Justice of the Supreme Court 
and District Judge who is a candidate for judicial office.
  2.  The Legislature shall prescribe by law the membership, 
powers and duties of the Commission, and such other 
provisions as it determines are necessary to carry out those 
powers and duties.\\
