AB50 Revises provisions relating to the licensure of medical and related health facilities. (BDR 40-445)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

AB59 Makes various changes to the Open Meeting Law. (BDR 19-288)
  Sections 1, 2 to 7, inclusive, and 8 of this act effective July 1, 2011. Section 1.5 of this act effective January 1, 2012.

AB167 Enacts provisions for the protection of the waters of this State from aquatic invasive species. (BDR 45-847)
  Section 9 effective June 15, 2011. Sections 1 and 2 of this act effective July 1, 2011. Sections 3 to 8, inclusive, of this act effective: (a) June 15, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks that are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act; and (b) January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

AB204 Revises provisions regarding salvage vehicles and total loss vehicles. (BDR 43-265)
  Sections 14 and 15 of this act effective June 10, 2011. Sections 2, 3, 10, 11, and 13 of this act effective July 1, 2011. Sections 1, 4 to 9, inclusive, and 12 of this act effective January 1, 2012.

AB232 Revises provisions governing the payment of certain fees for permits to operate certain oversized and overweight vehicles on the highways of this State. (BDR 58-868)
  Effective June 10, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks that are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

AB255 Revises procedures relating to certain accidents occurring in the course of employment. (BDR 53-102)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

AB289 Enacts provisions relating to the practice of dietetics. (BDR 54-871)
  Sections 11, 63, and 65 of this act effective June 5, 2011. Sections 1 to 10, inclusive, 12 to 61, inclusive, 63.5, and 64 of this act effective July 1, 2011, for the purposes of adopting regulations and carrying out any other administrative tasks and on January 1, 2012, for all other purposes. Section 62 of this act effective on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational, and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States. Sections 26, 35 and 62 of this act expire by limitation on the date two years after the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational, and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States. (Effective dates revised by Assembly Bill 499 [Chapter 553, Statutes of Nevada 2013].)

AB304 Makes various changes relating to fire performers and apprentice fire performers. (BDR 42-885)
  Effective June 2, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes. Sections 7 and 8 of this act expire by limitation on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational, and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States.

AB354 Revises provisions relating to the State Personnel System. (BDR 23-1014)
  Sections 3 and 4 of this act effective June 17, 2011. Sections 1 and 1.3 of this act effective October 1, 2011. Section 1.7 of this act effective January 1, 2012.

AB393 Requires criminal background investigations of educational personnel upon renewal of a license. (BDR 34-8)
  Effective July 1, 2011, for the purposes of adopting any necessary regulations and policies and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks that are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

AB402 Requires a state agency to enter into or participate in a contract to allow it to accept credit cards, debit cards or electronic transfers of money to the agency unless it is impracticable for the agency to do so. (BDR 31-968)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

AB452 Revises provisions relating to governmental administration. (BDR 24-1136)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

AB511 Revises certain provisions governing transportation. (BDR 43-1109)
  Sections 12 and 13 of this act effective June 16, 2011. Sections 5 to 7, inclusive, 9, 10, and 11 of this act effective January 1, 2012. Sections 2, 3, 4, and 8 of this act effective March 1, 2012. The following provisions expire by limitation on January 1, 2018: (a) sections 5 to 7, inclusive, of this act; (b) the amendatory provisions of sections 9, 10, and 11 of this act; and (c) subsections 2 and 3 of section 12 of this act.

AB524 Increases certain fees for residential and general appraisers to cover an increase in federal registry fees. (BDR 54-1199)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

AB570 Revises the districts from which the members of the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada are elected. (BDR 34-1293)
  Sections 17 and 18 of this act effective June 9, 2011. Sections 15 and 16 of this act effective January 1, 2012. Sections 1 to 14, inclusive, of this act become effective January 1, 2012, for the purposes of filing for office and for nominating and electing members of the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada and January 8, 2013, for all other purposes.

SB25 Revises the method used to determine the number of justices of the peace in a township in certain counties. (BDR 1-342)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

SB44 Requires the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services of the Department of Health and Human Services to adopt certain regulations. (BDR 39-448)
  Effective May 24, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

SB51 Revises provisions relating to the reporting of and imposition of penalties for certain convictions for the violation of certain traffic laws. (BDR 43-492)
  Sections 1, 3, 4 and 5 effective October 1, 2011. Section 2 effective January 1, 2012.

SB77 Revises provisions relating to notaries public. (BDR 19-404)
  Effective June 10, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations by the Secretary of State pursuant to the amendatory provisions of section 2 of this act and on January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

SB94 Provides for the realignment of certain judicial districts. (BDR 1-758)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

SB164 Revises provisions relating to third-party administrators. (BDR 57-232)
  Effective June 17, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

SB190 Provides for the licensure of music therapists. (BDR 54-377)
  Sections 1 to 32, inclusive, and section 34 effective June 3, 2011, for the purpose of issuing licenses to qualified applicants and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes. Section 33 effective on the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) Have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) Are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States. Sections 22 and 33 of this act expire by limitation 2 years after the date on which the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 666 requiring each state to establish procedures under which the state has authority to withhold or suspend, or to restrict the use of professional, occupational and recreational licenses of persons who: (a) Have failed to comply with a subpoena or warrant relating to a proceeding to determine the paternity of a child or to establish or enforce an obligation for the support of a child; or (b) Are in arrears in the payment for the support of one or more children, are repealed by the Congress of the United States.

SB197 Revises provisions governing the system of governance and oversight of public education. (BDR 34-94)
  Sections 53.5 and 58.7 effective June 15, 2011. Sections 1 to 5, inclusive, 8 to 53, inclusive, 47.5, 54.5 to 57, inclusive, and 58.5 to 63, inclusive, effective July 1, 2011. Section 54 effective November 7, 2012. Section 6 effective January 1, 2012, for the purpose of filing for office and for nominating and electing members of the State Board of Education and January 8, 2013, for all other purposes. Sections 7 and 58 effective January 1, 2013.

SB204 Enacts certain amendments to the Uniform Common-Interest Ownership Act. (BDR 10-298)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

SB225 Establishes provisions relating to the designation of certain hospitals as primary stroke centers. (BDR 40-938)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

SB245 Creates the Statewide Alert System for the Safe Return of Missing Endangered Older Persons. (BDR 38-710)
  Effective May 31, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

SB246 Requires certain entities that have custody of a child pursuant to the order of a court to adopt a policy concerning the administration and management of medication. (BDR 40-796)
  Effective January 1, 2012.

SB278 Revises provisions relating to health care and health insurance. (BDR 57-253)
  Section 17.5 effective June 15, 2011. Sections 1 to 17, inclusive, 18, 19, 20 and 22 to 24.7, inclusive, effective July 1, 2011. Section 21 effective January 1, 2012.

SB294 Establishes provisions governing providers of health care. (BDR 40-16)
  Effective June 16, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

SB338 Revises provisions relating to reports of certain medical and related facilities. (BDR 40-261)
  Effective June 14, 2011, for purposes of adopting regulations and January 1, 2012, for all other purposes.

SB339 Establishes provisions relating to the safety of patients in certain medical facilities. (BDR 40-662)
  Effective June 10, 2011, for the purpose of adopting regulations and performing any other preparatory administrative tasks necessary to carry out this act, and for all other purposes: Sections 1 and 2.5 effective October 1, 2011; Sections 2 and 4 to 7, inclusive, effective January 1, 2012; Section 3 effective January 1, 2012, except that, for the purpose of the continuing education required by that section for infection control officers, effective January 1, 2013.

SB493 Creates the Mining Oversight and Accountability Commission and revises the provisions governing certain mining taxes and fees. (BDR 32-1152)
  Sections 1 to 12, inclusive, and 13 to 18, inclusive effective June 16, 2011. Section 12.5 effective January 1, 2012. Section 12.7 effective January 1, 2014.
